How to Recover from a Bad Threesome

1. Was there unsafe sex? You need to go to a clinic and get yourself checked. You also need to talk to your partners if possible, and find out their sexual history. Maybe you didn’t ask before, that’s bad, but it’s better to know before you move on.

If you’re a woman and a man ejaculated inside you, you should consider taking the morning after pill. If you need to see a doctor to do that in your state or province then do that. Sometimes it’s over the counter and sometimes you need a referral.  

If you’re a man and you came inside a woman because you lost control, or the condom broke, or you were just being a dick, then man up and help her get access to the pill. The STI checkup still applies.

2. Did things get abusive, violent, or strange? You can file assault charges. It’s a difficult process, especially for women because there’s the possibility you will be shamed, disbelieved, and possibly publicly ridiculed.

The upside is that a person who has been abusive with you has probably been that way with others. That person will also probably escalate their behaviour. They need help as much as you did, even if they don’t see it that way.  You are helping more people than yourself if you report the incident.

3. Was it just shitty or strange somehow? Don’t call that person ever again. Block them on all social media. Go on with your life. If someone starts stalking you, then file a restraining order.

If it’s some kind of crazy couple you hooked up with, then back away and let them consume themselves without you…or if you like one but not the other, try to steal that person from their partner and ruin their marriage. Meow!

4. Find closure inside yourself and move on. Chalk it up to experience and get back on the horse. Go have a good threesome to make life better. If you have someone you trust, a friend or therapist, then talk to them about it and work through what troubled you.
