3some Dating seeks to offer a full-featured experience for threesome enthusiasts and swingers. While many threesome dating apps stop short with swiping and messaging, 3some Dating kicks it old school by providing member blogs, articles, event planning, chat rooms and forums. In many places the site resembles a social network, with comments flowing alongside profile photos creating an Instagram vibe.

The real meat of the site though is the large number of members, most of whom are looking to seriously hook up. The best action isn’t happening in the stale forums or in the chat rooms which are reserved for VIPs. The most important activity on this site is member to member messaging. Setting up those threesome dates!

So while I’ll say that all those extra features are nice, they aren’t necessary. However, I did notice that some couples and singles used their blogs effectively to draw more attention to themselves.

While the profiles at 3some Dating are actually very basic, the fact that you can easily narrow your search down to couples only is awesome, and something we couldn’t do when we tried OKcupid for our polyamorous exploits in the past.

I don’t know if it’s because we live in a relatively big city or not, but my boyfriend and I were surprised and excited by how many local women we found at 3someDating.com. We ended up meeting with two different women early last month. Number one never went as far as a threesome, but we had a nice night of cocktails and are still in touch. However, date number two completely clicked! It took about a week of messaging and the exchange of many naughty photos, but we discovered that yep, this online approach really works.

Single guys who are looking to connect with a couple or two women might be wondering by now if their results will be as fruitful. While I can’t speak to that personally, I will say that a search in my city also revealed plenty of couples looking specifically for men to join in.
